Laird & McCloskey partners earn repeat Lawdragon plaintiff work honors

FORT WORTH, Texas — Steven C. Laird, co-founder of the Law Offices of Laird & McCloskey and one of the nation’s most accomplished trial attorneys in the competitive field of truck accident law, has been selected to Lawdragon’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his decades of successful, industry-leading representation.

Mr. Laird is the only Fort Worth-based plaintiffs attorney to earn a place among the Lawdragon Hall of Fame. Honorees are described by Lawdragon as “the heroes to which one can hold tight. Knowing they are out there, on the front lines, fighting for justice and the rule of law.”

His Hall of Fame selection goes hand in hand with another honor from the nationally recognized legal guide, as he and law partner Seth McCloskey were named to the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers list for excellence in personal injury, trucking and wrongful death matters.

Mr. Laird and Mr. McCloskey are among 11 Texas lawyers who are Board Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. They also hold board certification in Personal Injury Trial Law and Truck Accident Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Laird also is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and rated as a specialist in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Lawdragon’s 2026 rankings are based on nominations, peer reviews and staff research. Hall of Fame honors are reserved for lawyers with a “long and impactful career of service to the legal profession.”
